Fluidmaster toilet fill valve and flapper

I installed two Fluidmaster 200A replacement kits at home 7+ years ago. They are still working properly and are the best toilet fill valve and flapper repair kits that I have installed at home so far.

Fluidmaster has different models now with better features. You can check them on Amazon by clicking here. The warranty for these replacement kits is between 5 to 7 years and depends on the product you get.

However, the hardness of the water or the use of strong cleaning products interfere with the life span of the fill valve and flapper.

How to Avoid Toilet Fill Valve and Flapper Setbacks

To keep the toilet fill valve and flapper working properly avoid the use of harsh chemical cleansers. Don’t use in-tank drop-in toilet bowl cleaners containing bleach or chlorine. Fluidmaster remarks it will damage tank components and void the warranty.

Several brands offer an automatic toilet cleaner to replace the bleach or chlorine in-tank drop-in bowl cleaners. Fluidmaster offers its product on Amazon. You can see the current price clicking here.

If you’re looking for alternatives to bleach or chlorine for toilets, baking soda is a good choice. With the help of a scrub brush and protecting your hands with cleaning gloves. I’ve used baking soda to clean the toilet bowl with wonderful results.

In my experience, the Fluidmaster toilet fill valve and flapper are built to last with proper care.
